Riki — Tribal & Hand Tapping
Riki Yonda was born in Sintang, West Kalimantan in 1989. He began his tattoo career in 2013 and soon developed a deep passion for tribal styles, especially the traditional Dayak motifs of his homeland.
The unique patterns and symbolism of Dayak art have become his main inspiration, guiding his work and giving each tattoo a strong cultural identity. Beyond modern tattooing, Riki has also studied the traditional hand tapping technique still practiced by the Dayak people. Using two wooden sticks crafted from ironwood (ulin), he creates tattoos that carry both ancestral heritage and contemporary artistry.
For Riki, every tattoo is more than decoration — it’s a cultural statement, designed in harmony with the body of the wearer and deeply rooted in tradition.
